This course aims at teaching the wood-carving technique and an in-depth knowledge of tools, paying a particular attention to the sharpening. Pupils are trained in the knowledge and the use of the different wooden essences fit for the wood-carving. They carry out bas relief, high relief and full relief wood-carvings, ornamental models of ancient furniture belonging to various ages. They make plastic integrations on deteriorated missing parts of important historical handmade pieces.
