HISTORY OF RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION OF WORKS OF ART

The history of restoration and preservation of works of art, furniture, paintings, drawings, sculptures and works of art on walls will be studied through complementary methods in order to understand the various steps that have led to the modern concept of restoration, with particular reference to the sources and the historical method. In addition the course describes the main non-invasive diagnostic techniques.
